GABRIOLA ISLAND, B.C. – As part of its commitment to maintaining a strong relationship with the local community, Silva Bay Resort & Marina held its first information sharing event at the Surf Lodge and Pub on September 15th, 2021 from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
“The event had a fantastic turnout and we are so happy to be building a strong relationship with our local community”, says Dean Chen, project manager and the main speaker at the event. “We greatly appreciate your questions, and we are delighted to have such strong local support for our development plans.”
Joined by members of the architectural team at Silva Bay Resort & Marina, Chen shared upcoming development plans at the property. These plans include replacing the previous general store and restaurant, both having burned down in 2017. These plans also include a new elegant 16 room hotel that will incorporate environmentally-conscious materials and landscaping in its design. With regards to these developments, Chen says “we are ecstatic to get going on our development, and very grateful to be a part of such a supportive community.”
Silva Bay Resort & Marina is aware that some residents were unable to attend the information sharing event on September 15th due to limited capacity and government restrictions on gatherings. In order to ensure that local residents are fully aware of the details of the proposed event, Silva Bay Resort & Marina provides the presentation slides featured here.
